Visit to the Hospital!!

Allie did great today. She dealt us some fits after she woke up. She kept trying to pull off the heart monitor wires and to pull out her IV. Not so fun, however we made it through without a catastrophe. We were able to come home tonight which always helps. Especially since Allie got nervous and didn’t go to sleep last night until 1:20 AM and got up at 5:30 AM. We did not get to speak directly with the doctor today (he got tied up with another patient); so we should know more details about what he did today tomorrow.

What we do know: Well as we have felt (maybe even known) throughout this process; God has chosen so far to heal Allie through surgery. Allie is being scheduled for open heart surgery around the first week of June. We were not surprised by this news today. We were almost certain that this is the news that we would get today. So please continue to pray for Allie and for us.

Lord, Thank you for all you have done. Thank you in advance for all that you are going to do. Once again (as you often do) you showed us in many ways that you are in control and that you are taking care of Allie. Thank you Lord for the nurses and doctors that you have blessed us with; they are truly amazing and caring people. Lord please continue to heal Allie. As much as we would love for you to heal Allie without using medicine; we are truly grateful that you have chosen to heal Allie. For what most of us have learned or will learn the hard way is that you Lord do things in your time and the way you choose to do so; not how we want things to happen. I just keep reminding myself that you have a good and perfect will for Allie’s life and we thank you for it. Again today we experienced one of many things that your word says we can have. That is the peace that passes all understanding. Please continue to lead us and prepare our family for the difficult time that lies ahead. Lord please pair Allie with other Christian nurses and doctors when they schedule surgery. Thank you Lord for EVERYTHING (you deserve all the glory, honor, and praise)!!
